Roopesh Thomas
With a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy, a Master's degree in Cardio-respiratory Physiotherapy, and a Postgraduate Certification in Respiratory Therapy, Roopesh brings over 15 years of comprehensive experience to the field. His professional journey includes extensive tenure within NSW Health public hospital inpatient wards and outpatient clinics.
Roopesh has an expertise in addressing diverse patient needs, including working with community-based home care package patients, conducting home visits for CTP patients, and providing care in residential aged care settings. He contributes part-time to NSW Health acute wards, specializing in adult respiratory conditions such as COPD, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, and acute care for pre- and post-major thoracic and gastrointestinal surgeries.
To ensure the highest quality of care, Roopesh is always dedicated to staying abreast of the latest evidence-based practices and clinical advancements. This commitment is evident through his active participation in journal clubs, inservices, workshops, and conferences.
Beyond his professional endeavours, Roopesh devotes his free time to volunteering as an advanced responder with St John Ambulance, supporting various public events including cycle races, ocean swims, marathons, and junior AFL games. Additionally, he enjoys regular participation in badminton at the local club, fostering both personal wellness and community engagement.
